Sunday Services
Our Sunday services, held at 10:30 a.m. and lasting for one hour,
are centered around the weekly Lesson-Sermon that is read at all Christian Science churches.
The services also contain Scriptural passages, hymns sung by the congregation, and a musical
selection by the church soloist.
|
|
Weekly Lesson-Sermon
The Lesson-Sermon is derived from the Christian Science Quarterly,
which lists citations from The Bible (King James version) and the Christian Science textbook,
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. The weekly lessons are based
upon 26 subjects, each originally chosen by Mrs. Eddy.

|
Church Pastors
As in all Christian Science churches, The Bible and Science and Health
serve as the church's pastors. Sunday services are conducted by a First Reader and Second Reader
elected by the church membership. The First Reader presides over the Wednesday evening testimony meetings.
|
|
Wednesday Testimonial Meetings
Wednesday meetings are comprised of citations from The Bible and Science
and Health, as selected by the First Reader, and a testimony session. Members of the congregation are
invited to share testimonies of healing or personal experiences realized through the study and application
of Christian Science.

Sunday School
Concurrent with the Sunday service for adults,
Sunday School is offered for young people up to the age of 20. Children
too young for Sunday School are cared for in the children's room, which
is available for Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services.

Thanksgiving Service
The church also offers a Thanksgiving service and testimony meeting,
which begins at 10:30 a.m. Child care is provided.
